"I was once in hospital for a week with dengue, not pleasant. One little mozzie took me down and threatened my life. Unbelievable. Plus there's nothing quite as uncomfortable as trying to sleep with mosquitoes buzzing threateningly around your ears. A simple net makes a massive difference." - Tim Wade
In this project we're helping to stop the spread of malaria (which is more prevalent than HIV/AIDS in Africa) and other mosquito-borne diseases that kill thousands of children. How? By simply sponsoring a quality mosquito net that prevents mosquito bites at night. Mosquito nets are cost effective, last for a long time, are eco-friendly and are especially crucial in lowering the mortality rate caused by mosquito-borne diseases. So, every month we give 1 person in Zambia a life-saving mosquito net.
Every month we sponsor the shelter and care for a destitute senior citizen who cannot afford a normal home for the aged. We cover the expenses of accommodating them at Sevalaya’s Senior Citizen’s Home for the whole month. The expenses include basic needs such as food, clothing, medical expenses, and placing a roof over their heads so that this person, who has nobody to care for them, can spend their final years in peace and with dignity.
Every month we provide a full month of medical support to a malnourished child in Moldova to prevent their health from deteriorating further and easing their discomfort and suffering.
"I can't imagine how helpless the parents of these kids must be feeling, and for us to do this small thing can really saves lives, and uplift hearts." - Tim
